Ireland adventure at love hate social club

Im really finally getting the opportunity to reflect on some of the things I am truly grateful for, we have been busy at the tattoo shop and for that and our excellent clients Im truly happy. Tampa has been keeping us busy proving awesome custom tattoos but sometimes its always nice to escape one reality and enter another. I traveled to Love Hate Social Club in Cork City, Ireland which was an amazing experience, I got to tattoo a lot of really amazing people during my time there. Skull and Water

There's a lot of colorful ink work I have done, but doing black and grey tattoos can be just as visually appealing too. This guy right here is a skull popping out of some finger waves and wind bars with stars in his eyes. Why? Because he's probably a reaper looking into the future, past and present or maybe just staring into the abyss of your soul. Again, smaller tattoos are always a blast to work on and create depth within them.

Snake vs Rose Battle

This is a water color painting study for a tattoo of this snake guy doing battle with a rose. Why? Probably jealous of the beauty of the flower. I call it The Battle of Tears. Either way, between the snake's fangs or the roses' thorns, some one is going to get pricked and cry. Also, it's a battle some days finding inner creativity to make these drawings more valid and appeasing to the eyes. The snake hasn't really been seen in a positive light throughout history or mythology but he holds a certain beauty about him.

Japanese Tiger Body Suit Painting

One of the many perks about what I do is being able to travel and meet all kinds of interesting people within this industry. This painting here was done for a man, the man, Clay Decker from True Tattoo in Hollywood California. It's a body suit with a Traditional Japanese motif going on. You got the cherry blossoms, wind bars, finger waves and last but definitely not least, the mighty Tiger. Very fun piece I had the pleasure of doing.

The Tough Mandala

Mandalas are going hard these days! Might as well make 'em look tough. This one here has more of a Tibetan influence, done in black and grey on the back of a female's leg. I've noticed these are more attractive to Women, but honestly, this idea could go either way. I am very fortunate for these concepts to come to life and for the clients who allow me to create magical inspirations on them!

Chrysanthemum Tattoo Study

The Chrysanthemums are native to Asia and Northeastern Europe and come in a variety of colors. This is a water color painting that I have created to show an example of how those colors can come together to create depth within a flower tattoo. Definitely a great concept and study if you're into Asian culture and designs.

Japanese Dragon Back Piece

This tattoo of a Japanese dragon is still in progress. Tattooing like this takes time. I'm very fortunate to have clients with this type of dedication as is this on fellow tattooer and friend Joe Hawks, owner of Hawks Electric tattoo in Tampa Florida. Joe and I have been plugging away on this for a bit now . We are getting close to wrapping it up. It's always a little bittersweet, but I am glad to get them finished up. Never glad to be done! Only until this type of work seems finished can we really start to put in the extra work that will really start to separate if from the rest. And can get the extra tricks in for sure.
