Appointment process FAQ

Here at Tabernacle tattoo, our appointment process is optimized so that our clients have the most seamless and safe experience possible. And while covid numbers are rising, so has our dedication to keeping you as safe and comfortable as possible while setting up and getting tattooed.

How to make an appointment 

First, thank you for choosing Tabernacle tattoo! In order to get started, please email the shop at tabernacletattoo@gmail.com with any reference you have for your tattoo, what your schedule is like and when you are available, and your budget for the tattoo. Our shop minimum is at least 100 dollars. From then on we will schedule a face to face consultation at the shop in order to further discuss your tattoo and make sure that all the details are solidified. We will also take a a non refundable deposit in order to book and solidify your appointment. This deposit will go towards your tattoo. We accept cash as well as digital forms of payment for deposits. If you have a larger tattoo that will require multiple sessions, we recommend placing appointments 2-3 weeks apart and all in one go.

How to prepare for your appointment

On the day of your appointment, please eat beforehand and bring a snack and drink with you in order to prepare your body and have it at its best. Please only bring yourself, no guests allowed, and wear a mask during your appointment. Don’t show up intoxicated or under the influence, and avoid blood thinners. Show up on time and ready to party. If you’re feeling sick or have covid-like symptoms, please call or email us and we can reschedule your appointment.

After your appointment 

  • Remove your bandage after 1-2 hours. Do not rebandage or leave on for longer than the specified time. 
  • Wash your tattoo with antibacterial, non fragranced soap and the warmest water you can stand twice daily. Do not overwash your tattoo.
  • when tattoo starts to scab, apply a light layer of unscented lotion twice daily until healed. Do not overmoisturize your tattoo. Do not use any petroleum based products or think ointments such as Vaseline or a+d ointment. Lubriderm or natural Shea butter works great.

  • Are you taking walk ins?

We take walk ins whenever we have available time. Please call the shop at  813-248-3223 and we will let you know our availability for the day.

  • Do you do piercings?

No, this is a tattoo only studio.

  • Can you book appointments online or over the phone?

No, we require face to face consultations for our appointments. If you are from a far location, we can accommodate with a FaceTime consultation.

  • Do you tattoo minors?

We require all of our clients to be 18 years of age or older with valid ID.

  • Are there any body parts you don’t tattoo?

We do not tattoo fingers or palms of hands, faces, or anything directly on genitalia.

  • Can I bring a buddy with me while I get tattooed? 

    We kindly ask that you only bring yourself to your appointments and leave guests behind. 
  • Is it cash only ?

Cash is preferred, but we also take cash app and PayPal payments as well.

  • Do you offer any numbing cream or numbing products? 

No, we do not offer any numbing products for our clients.

  • I’m running into a problem with my healing tattoo, what do I do ? 

    If you have any questions or concerns regarding your tattoo, please do not hesitate to call or email the shop and we would be more than happy to answer any concerns you have.
